Australian
Proof Coin Sets
- As issued by
the Royal Australian Mint. All are as issued by the mint
with the coins in perfect
condition, with no carbon spots etc, unless stated. Sets
prior to 1985
come in a hard plastic case with outer foam packaging.
Sets from 1971 onwards have the mint ticket with them, as
usual. All
cases 1969-82 have the usual small internal stress
marks/scratches that every one of these sets had. We have
seen 1000's of proof Sets from this period,
all have this fault
with the cases which was due to the method of manufacturing.
Major or unusual damage to
plastic cases or the coins is noted and further discounted.
